I Have How Many Pieces of Crap On My Walls?

I swear to God, it took me more then 3 hours to wrap up and pack the things I had hanging on my walls - some my own art, but mostly things by other people.

3 hours! That's crazy. Especially since there were walls in here that I hadn't hung a single thing on. Okay, not many. But still. I have a problem.

I am going to have to practice much restraint when I arrive in Columbus. Renting = not much of an opportunity to hang a mess of things on the walls.

I just wanted to say, and I mean this sincerely, that I think you make lovely crap, Melissa.

Hmmm. I guess I should disambiguate here. What I mean to say is that you do really nice work, and I hope you can get your art back up on some walls at the earliest opportunity. It deserves to be seen. And bought!

And I forgot how much I like collage as a medium. It's pluralistic, multifarious, complex, random, colourful, sometimes confusing, and yet somehow all comes together and works. Kind of like the world. Or a nice buffet.

Ah, Peter, there was no need to clarify, I knew what you meant! And thank you, so much, for saying such nice things.

I will confess that I haven't worked on my art for ages, but I'm hoping that once I get settled, I'll start kicking some pieces out the door! And finally get around to shopping them around to some galleries.
