Get mailed to my house in the form of an excellent Christmas gift.

I am now pondering the exact, most awesome space to hang it.

Hi,
Are you the Melissa that has the wonderful brown Mackage coat like the one worn in 24 by Audrey Raines in season 5 yet in off-white? I'm trying to find the price and style name of this coat yet have had no luck whatsoever since it's 2 years old. Can you help? Thanks~Steph

I am, except it's black, not brown. I don't know what country you're from, but since Mackage is a Canadian company, their prices are a little less here then in the US. My coat cost me $570 CDN, but at the time I was seeing it on US sites for at least $100 more. Bloomingdales has a similar cut for this season, at a cost of $700. You can see it here: http://www1.bloomingdales.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?b=0&ID=73899&CategoryID=2221&PseudoCat=sbb&PageID=http://search.bloomingdales.com/exec/?t1=Fashion%2BFor%2BHer%26pdp_nav=1%26u2=b%26sbb=1%26u1=t1%26b=Mackage%26n=3

Oh, also, you might want to go to Mackage.com and contact them about the coat.

Hi,
I have actually purchased the one that looks like yours from Saks for 700 dollars but I haven't received it yet. The only thing that I don't like about the new one is it has permanent beltloops whereas I beleive the one you have doesn't. I have e-mailed Mackage, and they've not responded as of yet. Do you remember the name of your coat or style? They have names like ex. Monica, Audrey, Iris,.....etc. I'm thinking when mine arrives, I won't like the fact that you always have to wear a belt with it.
Thanks for taking the time to respond to me. You're very kind!
I'm a bigtime coat girl. There's nothing like a great coat.
Please let me know if you have any info.
Thanks Again~Steph

Well, Steph, I am always happy to enable!

I actually bought my coat at a store called Mendocino, and at that time, none of the coats were displayed with any name, and I can't for the life of me remember ever seeing a name associated with it - it was always referred to as the Asymmetrical coat.

If Mackage doesn't get back to you, perhaps someone at Mendocino could help you out with providing more information about the style name? They have a site at http://www.mendocino.ca/.

I took a closer look at the coat that you have winging it's way to you, and you're right, in part, about the belt loop situation difference. Where yours has the thicker, double loops above the pockets, mine has very, very thin single loops sewn into the side seam that extends from the middle of the underarm to the bottom of the coat, so they would pretty much disappear if I decide to go beltless.

Thing is, I really think that an awesome thing about the coat is the shape that it takes on when belted. And I think you'll love it too when you try it on.

Also, I may be secretly still thinking about buying the Mackage Twiggy coat in loden green. I need to be stopped.

Hi Melissa,
I think you should buy that loden coat. There's nothing like a good coat! The elegance and class is unmatchable in other brands. Except, I do think you should take a look at the Spoken coats. I also purchased the "glamour" coat and it's exquisite.
Thanks for your time and tips. I appreciate the quick responses!~Steph

Unfortunately, Spoken is sized too big for me. I bought their Rapunzel dress last night, and I was just swimming in their XS. I fear the same would be true with their coats!

In non coat conversation, I love the monkey and the rabbit print.
