Ah, Flat Columbus. So Columbus? She is flat. Very, very flat. I never really noticed until I started cycling it's streets.
This morning, my friend Andrea and I went out. It's nice to ride with someone else. Anyway, we went at a fairly easy pace and managed to lay down 33 km / 21 miles in 1.5 hours. It was excellently sunny, though chilly enough for me to require a t-shirt under a long sleeve shirt under a jacket. Because I am a pansy. Cycling up North High, we saw a few excellent things, including Just Pies (which will need a sit down and eat visit), and the revelation that Columbus demands flags - or so two flag stores (including The Flag Lady!) located within two blocks from each other led met to believe.

Help me choose a guitar strap, please.

Next Sunday, my friend Julie and I are going out to see the lovely Al Gore speak. As much as many of us wish that things had fallen differently in the US federal election o' 2000, I can't help but think that Gore has become a much more powerful figure of change then he would have been underneath the constraints of a federal government. As an aside, I will probably be forced to tell the Internet as a series of tubes joke that day. Sorry.

I promised to post pictures of fired ceramics, didn't I? Never say I don't follow through.
Here is my favourite, though I do admit, it is in poor taste.

polar bears. You ARE Canadian.
By the way, just came across this: http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&hl=en&msa=0&msid=111104896988294047058.000443036ce5379e446e7&t=h&z=12
Oh, that's excellent! I recently came across this too: http://www.bikely.com/listpaths/srchkey/columbus/country/254/region/157
I vote you go with the Polar Bears. I love watching polar bears (at our local zoo anyways) plus that is a Souldier guitar strap. LOVE THEM!:) Totally Handmade with Vintage fabric on recycled (not new hurting environment) seatbelt with double thick ends (i got vinyl option, however, their leather is recycled from leather bag companies). The other strap has rivets which will scratch your guitar. Several guys in Bright Eyes have Souldier straps. Go to the site www.souldier.us and you can build your own from hundreds of fabrics and by using drop down menus you can see the colors change. They have a catchy slogan to...Show your soul.
Let me guess, J - you're a little invested in Souldier's business?
Hi Melissa,
It's Janet here in Omaha. I'm a violin player (I play many instuments, but that is the one I get paid to play) who often shares the stage with Bright Eyes. No affiliation with that strap company, except that I am a happy customer. I ordered a custom violin case strap which I thought was a little short, I sent it back and they fixed it no problem. They treated me just like their other rock star customers. I feel I can recommend Souldier handmade products to other players. Feel free to get what your heart desires, but that's my 2 cents which isn't worth that much :)
Janet, apologies for the assumption! My metric software was telling me that your ISP is based out of Chicago, just like Souldier Straps, and that, paired with your pimpin' o' website made me believe that i was smelling a shill.
I'm glad the company has served you well - they do seem to have excellent product.
Now, tell me, how did you find my monkey space?
