It's like freaking magic, man! I may have clapped my hands with glee when I woke up this morning to find the milk turned into yogurt. And it is delicious. Oh, yes, it is.

I swear, Rose, when my friend Zig started talking about this crazy yogurt making machine that she recently came into possession of, I was fascinated, and needed to make one mine own.
I was fairly hopping out of my skin when my brother swung by to drop it off. Anything that allows me to pretend to be a scientist in my kitchen is brilliant by my books.
I feel like I need a birthday update from you, STAT!
Seriously...just a day for yogurt? Do you have to use any cultures? I would agree with the whole chocolate cinnamon flavor as well. Yum!
Indeed, mister, just a day. I used a couple of tablespoons of storebought organic yogurt that had 4 active bacterial cultures in it as a starter, skim milk, and skim milk powder - if you're using a no-fat milk, the powder helps to create a thicker yogurt. I set the machine to incubate for 15 hours (they recommend between 10 - 20, more for thicker product), and that was it!
I don't know about the flavouring yet - the plain is really fucking lovely as is! But I'm sure I'll want to start experiementing soon enough.
I'm....I mean your brother is so cool, giving you a gift like that...
Nope. You, I mean, my brother, just likes to pretend that he's cool.
